Snape, Scoundrel or Saint? - Week 2: The Professor

Hum-hello?

Well, yes, I am late. Like, very very late...? I hope you will not be mad at me lol, I had this pic in my wips for litteraly weeks and I couldn't either find the time to clean-up / frame this second pannel nor the energy and motivation to do so...! For more than one week it has been on the point of completion but every day I got something to prevent me to achieve it lol.

It was far too LONG!

I'm really unsure of how I feel about this final result - but I have to post it now and submit it to your jugement, hoping that you'll find some good in this second entry in the @snapecelebration 's "Snape: Scoundrel or Saint" event.

Prompts were, this time: "Potion Master", "Head of Slytherin House", "Colleagues", "Slytherin Favouritism" and "Bullying". Can you find them here?

I have to thank all of you for your amazing reception on my first entry. ♡ It gave me hope when I wasn't sure anybody would be interested anymore by my deserted blog! Ahah

I am unfortunately very very far behind in the challenge and somehow it makes me doubt of if it is of any importance that I try to complete this series. I think I want to do it at some point but I'm affraid that forcing me to do so for now (while I have serious real life objectives that require my time and attention, while my head is willing to focus on something else than drawing and while my hand do not really want to draw Snape anyway) will not help me do my best.

Time will tell if I am to complete this challenge! For now, do not hesitate to share your thoughts!

Snape, Scoundrel or Saint? - Week 1: The Muggle

Hey there! Yeah, I'm still alive. Here is my participation for the first week of @snapecelebration 's "Snape: Scoundrel or Saint?" event! I'll try to do my best and deliver one pic for each week, but as I was unsure of the dates concerned by the event, expect them to be pretty late / released when the following week starts! (at best, I'll constantly post them on Tuesday).

As it is something that I enjoy to do, I combined all the prompts in one single drawing that I wanted to make look like a page of manga. I'm not the best when it comes to layering and making dynamics compositions, so I hope it won't look too messy. I had an hard time drawing young Severus's face, as I had never really made any definitive reference for my interpretation of 10 years old kid Snape.

Prompts were "Cokeworth", "Tobias and Eileen Snape", "Childhood", "Friendship" and "Holiday", so I hope you'll find them easily there!

Even if it took me very long to put the manga screentones I'm really not sure of if I prefer with or without it. Do not hesitate to tell me your opinion, I'm really interested. One thing sure is that I had something in my mind when I imagined the pic, and the result is completely different as much in terms of style, technique and shadings. I do not have the necessary objectivity right now to determine if I like it or not at all.

Again, I apologize for my inactivity this year. I have had weird times lately, and I'm still trying to focus on my real life experiences. I still love you all and hope you'll enjoy this new thing, from that damn irregular artist that I am.

Those cheeky Slytherins baited Snape into the common room and he's been greeted with some unexpected enthusiasm. No escape left now - he'll have to handle the tricky situation he's found himself traped in!!

Bringing joy and celebration is now an unavoidable tradition to pay tribute to our favorite greesy Potion Master, ruling over Hogwarts's damp dungeons.

I apologise for the sh*t quality of the fanart, the scanner I found at the supermarket destroyed the look of picture because I think I sat wrong parameters, and I chose to work with a very small sized file in consequence. I hesitated to post it to be honest, I'm definitely not satisfied. But well - Snape's birthday is only one day in a year, so no time to start it from scratch again. Sorry for the result tho. ;_;

At least I hope he enjoyed his slice of strawberry shortcake. 🍰 In absence of a Dumbledore to spoil him with some sweets, I take in charge to feed this grumpy boy with wipped cream and some well deserved comfort. ♡
